Get a useful result

Open a DOCX, inspect the preview and use Print / Save as PDF. In the print dialog, check paper size, scaling and page count before saving. A correct first paragraph is not enough: inspect tables and page breaks too.

A practical example

Open a DOCX with a heading, two paragraphs and a table. Review the preview, then choose Print / Save as PDF.

Will the result be identical to Microsoft Word?

Identical layout is not guaranteed. Available fonts and browser features may change the document; the older DOC format is not supported. For a document whose layout must be exact, compare the copy with the original in the application that created it.
