Video & Media

Extract audio from video

Save the primary audio track as a local WAV file. No account required. Processing stays in your browser.

YOUR BROWSER STUDIO

No uploads. Up to 100 MB total, 5 minutes and 1920 × 1080 pixels (portrait also supported). Start with short clips on mobile.

Primary video and audio tracks only. Subtitles and descriptive metadata are not preserved. Missing codecs stop the export; audio is never silently removed.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a local file and review its information and preview.
  2. Adjust the settings and generate the file. Canceling releases the processing engine.
  3. Play or open the result before downloading and sharing.

Example and limitations

Extract a 30-second explanation for another editor. Output is 48 kHz stereo PCM WAV with no video and may be larger than the original. MP3 export is not provided.

Actual compatibility

MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV input: reading depends on the codecs inside and your browser. AVI, protected files and external URLs are not supported. Editing requires WebCodecs and OffscreenCanvas. Tested in Chromium on Windows; Safari, Firefox and mobile require verification on your device. Each operation has a 3-minute execution limit.

Output may lose quality or increase in size. Platform acceptance is not guaranteed; check current platform requirements.
